It has been awhile since I went out and ate due to my allergies… problem is… I don’t know what I’m allergic to (except pineapples). So the doctor told me to go out and eat and try to figure out what I’m allergic to that way.
Ok Doc, whatever you say.
Dropped by Pinkberry again (2nd visit) after watching the Avengers with some friends to just chill. My first visit there was great, the service was great, everyone was friendly, the place looked clean, and the atmosphere was really inviting. My second visit there was just as great!
What I like about Pinkberry is that you pay a certain price for the size of yoghurt you want and you can get as many toppings as the cup can hold. I can see how it can be a disadvantage if you only get a few toppings but for someone like me who likes to load it up… it could be a definite advantage.
Another thing I like about Pinkberry is that it is NOT self serve. Based from previous experience at Qoola (Aberdeen location) where it was self serve, the counter area was just messy and dirty. And I felt weirded out thinking that someone has potentially breathed on all the toppings and or touched it.
Anyways, Pinkberry has a range of toppings which include a variety of berries, nuts, chocolate goodness, and my favorite the swirl pearls. Swirl pearls are like bath beads, jelly on the outside but liquid on the inside. Very very cool and molecular gastronomy like.
For the yogurt you can get 1 flavor or you can mix with 2! I mixed green tea with mango, weird combination but so good.
They give out stamp cards, 10 stamps = one free small size yogurt with topping.
1 stamp for any size item.
I really like Pinkberry. The yogurt is good, service is great, and it is I guess a healthier alternative (depending on your toppings) over regular ice cream.
